Theodore Clarke is a photographer working between Lisbon and the UK.
His practice centres on portraiture and long-form projects rooted in place, ritual and human presence. Working predominantly with analogue processes he approaches photography as a slow and physical act, searching for the fundamentals of humanity in the realms of the spiritual and the psychological.
Nyasa explores the intersection between religion and colonialism, navigating the conflicting realities through which faith persists.
